AV1 wants everyone to be able to read our journalism, including people who use assistive technology.
Our approach
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The site supports keyboard navigation, uses readable text sizes and color contrast, labels its menus and controls, and includes a “Skip to content” link.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is ongoing work. Some older content or third-party material, such as embedded videos or ads, may not yet meet every standard.
