About Us
Last updated:
AV1 is an independent digital news publication covering the United States: politics, the economy, business, technology, and the stories that shape everyday life across the country.
What we do
We report the news as clearly and fairly as we can. Our reporters and editors focus on what happened, why it matters and what comes next. When a story is still developing, we say so, and we update it as we learn more.
Who we are
AV1 is published by AV1. You can find the people responsible for our coverage on our masthead.
How we work
Every story follows our editorial standards. We correct mistakes openly under our corrections policy, and we keep advertising separate from news, as described in our advertising policy.
How we are funded
AV1 is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no say in what we cover or how we cover it.
